In order to allow public employees in Lagos State to go pick up their Permanent Voter Cards at their respective local governments' or local councils' development zones, the state has declared Tuesday, January 24, through Friday, January 27, as work-free days.
Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the Head of Service, informed the public of this. The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, reportedly graciously granted the public employees' work-free day, according to a circular released by Muri-Okunola.
Following the Independent National Electoral Commission's decision to extend the collection of permanent voters' cards, it is hereby announced for everyone's knowledge that all public employees who have not yet picked up their permanent voters' cards from designated INEC Centers are urged to do so before Sunday, January 29, 2023, as voting is a civic duty.
To this purpose, as shown in the chart below, Mr. Governor kindly allowed a work-free day to allow public employees to pick up their PVCs from their respective local governments' and local councils' development zones.
The dates are January 24, 2023 for grade levels 1, 3, 7, and 15, January 25, 2023 for grade levels 2, 4, and 8, and 13 and January 26, 2023 for grade levels 5, 9, 12, and 17, and January 27, 2023 for grade levels 6, 10, 14and 16.
